A tense confrontation erupted at the Port Harcourt home of veteran Nigerian musician Duncan Mighty after officials of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), accompanied by soldiers and police officers, arrived unannounced and cut off the property's electricity supply.

A video of the incident, which has since circulated widely on social media, captured the moment officials and security personnel clashed with residents on the property following the disconnection, with tensions running visibly high.

Duncan Mighty was reportedly not at home at the time of the incident, leaving residents to confront the officials without him present.

The reason for the disconnection has not been officially stated, though speculation is that it may be connected to the musician owing power-related company.
