Reality TV personality Michael Ilesanmi has officially divorced his American wife, Angela Deem, bringing an end to their widely publicised relationship.
The divorce was finalised on March 10 at the Jeff Davis County Superior Court in the United States.
Shortly after the ruling, Michael took to Instagram to celebrate the development, sharing a video of himself in a beige suit while holding up the divorce papers.
In the caption, he wrote that the divorce was now official and thanked supporters who stood by him during the process. In the video, he also excitedly said, “Single life, here I come.”
According to court documents, the settlement was straightforward. Both parties will keep their respective vehicles and remain responsible for their own debts. No alimony was awarded, and the agreement includes a non-disparagement clause preventing either side from making false statements that could damage the other’s reputation.
Michael and Angela’s relationship began in 2017 after they connected on social media. Their romance gained international attention when they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2018. Despite their age difference and skepticism from Angela’s family, they got engaged during her visit to Nigeria.
The couple later married in 2020 and continued appearing on several franchise spin-offs, including 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and 90 Day: The Last Resort.
However, their marriage faced major challenges after Michael relocated to the United States in December 2023. The situation escalated months later when Angela filed for an annulment in June 2024, accusing him of fraud. Michael denied the claim and filed a countersuit, stating he left the relationship because he felt disrespected and not treated like a husband.
Following the final ruling, many fans have taken to social media to congratulate Michael and wish him well as he begins a new chapter.
