Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy recently paid a visit to the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, drawing attention across social media.
The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, March 17, gained traction after photos surfaced online showing the Afrofusion star dressed in a stylish dark blue kaftan alongside the governor in what appeared to be a cordial engagement.
Burna Boy was accompanied by his father, Samuel Ogulu, and music executive Soso Soberekon.
While details of their discussion remain undisclosed, some observers believe the visit may be connected to potential development initiatives in Rivers State, given the singer’s ties to the region.
This isn’t his first visit to the Government House. In 2021, he met with former governor Nyesom Wike after a major career milestone and was later honoured with the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS), one of the state’s highest awards.
