Juju and highlife singer, Iyun Janet Oluwatoyosi Ajilore, famously known as St. Janet, is dead.

She died on Saturday, August 1, 2026, after a brief illness.

Her demise was announced by Otunba Femi Davies, a Nigerian publisher and socialite, in a Facebook post on Sunday, August 2.

“St Janet (Iyun Janet Ajilore), a popular Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician known for her vibrant live performances, energetic stage presence and socially unfiltered party tracks, is dead. She died after a brief illness on Saturday,” he wrote.

St Janet was widely celebrated for her unique style, and energetic performances that earned her a strong fan base within the Juju music community home and abroad.
