Popular Nollywood actor and politician Desmond Elliot has been spotted back on a movie set months after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Surulere Constituency I seat in Lagos State.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Elliot was seen filming alongside fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta.
The duo appeared in costume, with Elliot sporting plaited cornrows adorned with cowrie shells for his role.
The actor-turned-politician lost the APC ticket to Barakat Odunuga-Bakare earlier this year, ending his bid to return to the Lagos State House of Assembly for another term.
His appearance on a film set has fueled speculation that he is refocusing on his acting career after his political setback.
The viral video has also generated mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians responding with a blend of humour and admiration, while others described his return to Nollywood as a reminder of the importance of having multiple career paths.
