A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has issued an interim order restraining social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, actress Doris Ogala, and Kelvin Chimaobi Emmanuel from making any public statements about Pastor Chris Okafor, his ministry, or his church.
The order was granted on Thursday by Justice M. A. Savage following an ex parte application filed by Pastor Chris Okafor, who is the claimant in the suit marked ID/14399GCMW/2026.
According to the ruling, the defendants are temporarily barred from mentioning Pastor Okafor, sharing his photographs, or referencing his church, Grace Nation International, also known as Liberation City, on social media or any other platform pending the determination of the substantive case.
The court further prohibited the trio and their associates from publishing or circulating any alleged private materials linked to the pastor, including messages, images, videos, audio recordings, or documents. Justice Savage also restrained them from releasing any content capable of blackmailing or extorting the claimant.
Pastor Okafor’s legal team, led by Mr. Ife Ajayi, filed the application under Order 43 Rules 1, 2, and 7 of the Lagos State High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019, alongside the court’s inherent powers.
In addition, the court approved substituted service of court documents on the defendants through newspaper publication. The matter has been adjourned to February 2, 2026, for further hearing.
