Veteran Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey has weighed in on the renewed public feud between the Okoye brothers, revealing that he has stepped in multiple times over the years to broker peace among them.

Speaking during an interview on Yanga FM, the 'Galala' singer questioned why the conflict keeps playing out in the public eye, suggesting that fame and a desire for attention may be prolonging the dispute between Peter, Paul, and Jude Okoye.

"I have been part of this matter for years. They are young people. I saw them grow up in those days in Jos when they would come and play at my show. I saw them become the P-Square they are today.

"They are people that I would go to and make peace between them. I think this matter is over. They know where it is paining them. I do not like to go into their issues again because they are no longer children," Daddy Showkey stated.

Expressing concern over the long-term consequences of the public fallout, the veteran artiste warned that the ongoing hostilities would inevitably impact the next generation of the Okoye family.

"This thing will affect their children. Everyone would tell their children their part of the story," he cautioned.

He also addressed the role that pride and fame play in hindering reconciliation:

"Sometimes, I think fame affects people. Anyone who has it would think you cannot talk to them again. They are both brothers. I do not care if they do not like what I would say. Maybe you have made that mistake by allowing Jude to manage you. They should all think of how to move forward. If they want peace, they will make peace," he said.

Speaking on the endless cycle of accusations online, Daddy Showkey questioned whether the brothers were deliberately leveraging the drama for public visibility.

"I feel they also use it for attention. Why are they bringing it up again?" he asked.

The latest rift flared up after Peter Okoye accused Jude of withholding a $25,000 royalty payment from their shared music catalogue and excluding him from key bank accounts.

Jude Okoye has denied the allegations, maintaining that all P-Square earnings were divided equally among the three brothers.
