Portable tries to escape arrest

Many internet users have found humour in the video of controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, jumping over a spiky gate to avoid being arrested.

After a vehicle dealer, to whom the singer owed money, filed a complaint, Portable was placed under arrest.

Portable had started the process of buying a G-Wagon from the dealer with a down payment of N27 million, promising to pay the whole balance in due course.

When the dealer questioned him about it, he broke his word and claimed the vehicle had mechanical problems.

The contentious street singer allegedly failed to cooperate, even after being asked to return the vehicle or pay the outstanding debt.

The dealer then called the police, resulting in Portable's apprehension.

A spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command has verified that despite his initial success in escaping, Portable has now been captured.

A video has emerged showing Portable quickly jumping a gate to evade being arrested by the police while he was being interrogated.

Netizens took to the comment section to praise God that Portable is a singer, stating that with the way he was able to jump the gate, they knew what he would have become if he was not a singer.
