'Most insensitive person' – Charles Ogbu reacts to Yul Edochie calling out dead colleague

Charles Ogbu, a critic and social justice campaigner has asserted that Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie should win the prize for being the least considerate person between 2023 and 2024.

Charles Ogbu's remarks came after Yul Edochie had posted something in which he said that Junior Pope, his late colleague, had frequently betrayed him even though he had helped his late colleague out when he was in need.

Yul Edochie stated that he intended to hold off on telling anyone about Junior Pope's betrayal until after the actor's funeral.

He said: “I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since.

“I took him like a brother & good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back repeatedly. That’s life!

“I’ll drop the full details soon so others can learn from it.

“Be careful what you wish people, it could come to you”

Charles Ogbu, however, did not take kindly to the statement and used his Facebook page to call Yul Edochie's post foolish and disrespectful.

He said: “Yul Edochie deserves the award for the 2023/2024 most INSENS!T!VE pers0n.

“See the n0ns€nse he’s writing about the late Junior Pope.”

Recall that Junior Pope and three other people perished on April 10, 2024, when their boat in Anambra State overturned in a river when they were returning from a movie location.

He was recently buried in his hometown of Ukehe, in the Enugu State local government area known as Igbo Etiti.

On social media, some people expressed the opinion that Yul Edochie felt betrayed by his late colleague because the latter abandoned him when he was having problems with May Edochie, his first wife.

May Edochie and Junior Pope were close friends in the past, and he even comforted her after she lost her first son, Kambilichukwu, in 2023. May Edochie was likewise honoured on her birthday by Junior Pope.
