The Rivers State Police Command has reportedly arrested a member of the Ratel movement identified as Veryblackman of Port Harcourt, who is said to be the brother of controversial activist VeryDarkMan.

According to a report by dailypost.ng, Veryblackman was arrested on Saturday over alleged threats to the life of reality star and comedian DeeOne.

According to reports, the arrest followed his failure to honour an invitation from the police. He was subsequently transported to Lagos on Sunday to assist with investigations.

Reacting to the development, DeeOne took to Instagram to commend the police for the arrest.

“Arrested and swift to Lagos! Next time you won’t threaten someone’s life. Kudos to the Nigerian Police for doing their job,” he wrote.

The arrest follows comments allegedly made by Veryblackman in June 2026, when he threatened to kill DeeOne after the comedian criticised VeryDarkMan.

The threat sparked reactions from several Nigerians, including celebrities such as Mario Wazobia and Broda Mike, who called for his arrest.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged threat and the ongoing police investigation are yet to be fully disclosed.
