Human rights activist, IG Wala, has accused President Bola Tinubu's son, Seyi Tinubu, of starting thuggery before the 2027 presidential election.
This was after the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Atiku Abubakar Isah, accused Seyi Tinubu of masterminding the attack he suffered from thugs.
Photos circulating on social media show Isah with swollen eyes and bruises on his back, which he claimed he sustained from the attack.
Reacting, IG Wala shared on Facebook, "Seyi Tinubu started the campaign in the north earlier b4 other political parties. Now, he started the election thuggery 2yrs ahead of time. What a teaser for 2027 Elections!"
He further stated, "Those involved and the sponsors of the attack on the citizens be arrested. The hotel where the incident took place must be shutdown immediately and have the management also arrested for being part of this brutal assault."
Some netizens also aired their opinion concerning IG Wala's claim.
One Omozuapo AB Raymon said, "People like dragging Seyi's name into everything just to score some political points. Why on earth will you say this when you don't have facts? Will you be happy if your name is dragged into what you don't know anything about? Hating Tinubu should not bring this kind of bitterness. Let us have the fear of Allah in whatever we are doing."
Babatunde Habeeb'ullahi Hamzat said, "You see what people call NANS of today, make person just shut up and be looking. As the story looks sad as you see, be expecting another factional president soon to come and tell you another side of his own story."
Gesture Kind Emmanuel said, "He’s the defacto president. His old father cannot campaign to the best of his ability. But I wonder why worry about going for a second term if all we can get as Nigerians is this magnitude of failures. I truly do not know. Why border themselves? Unless they want to lord it over us by force, by fire. And again, your people aren’t helping matters, because they get to see things from a different perspective than we do."
