Apostle Arome Osayi cautioned that campaigning and possessing voters’ cards alone may not be enough to change Nigeria’s situation in the upcoming election. He emphasised that the country first needs healing before any substantial change can take place.

Addressing the nation’s current condition, Osayi criticised the focus of those campaigning for the next election, asserting they are concentrating on the wrong issues and placing confidence in the wrong individuals.

“I know most of you are campaigning. There is no amount of campaigning you do that will change the current structure of things in the next election. You are campaigning. No amount. Your voter’s card will not change anything,” he said.

He believes the issue extends beyond just elections, characterising Nigeria as a nation severely troubled and in desperate need of divine intervention.

“The land is sick. If it’s not healed, there can be no change. You are looking at the wrong things, trusting the wrong people. We are a joke. We are a big joke,” he stated.

The apostle also stated that the nation is presently undergoing what he called the day of judgment, cautioning that politicians and preachers alike may face serious repercussions in the years ahead.

“Right now, this is the day of judgment. Many will be cut off; politicians and preachers will be cut off in the next five years. Young and old, I am not talking about old, young and old, cut off,” Osayi said.

He mentioned that God's mercy towards the nation might manifest through acts of judgment.

“That is, if God decides to have mercy, the way the mercy will manifest will be in the form of judgments,” he said, before asking Nigerians to seek divine mercy for the country.
