The Yoruba Welfare Group (YWG) has advised Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho to learn from the fate of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

Nnamdi Kanu was arrested on Sunday, June 27, by the Nigerian security agency and will be trialed.

According to Daily Trust, a statement released by the President of YWF, a Yoruba sociopolitical group, Comrade Abdulhakeem Alawuje, they warned Igboho to desist from the calls for a Yoruba Nation and not to plunge the South-West into crisis like the South-East.

“With all the backings that Kanu claimed he has, he was arrested like a chicken and extradited to Nigeria without noise. As we speak, his trial has continued at the Abuja High Court,” Alawuje said.
