Transfer Guru tips Osimhen for a potential summer move to Chelsea

Renowned transfer expert, Ben Jacobs, has dropped hints about a potential summer departure for Victor Osimhen from Napoli, despite the recently finalized contract extension.

At 25, Osimhen had a stellar season under Luciano Spaletti, contributing significantly to Napoli's Scudetto victory.

His outstanding performances earned him the CAF Player of the Year Award and secured him the 8th position in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

Despite attracting interest from prominent European clubs, the Super Eagles striker chose to extend his stay in Naples, committing to the club until the summer of 2026.

Recent reports from Jacobs suggest that Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea is actively pursuing a top-tier goalscorer, with Osimhen on their radar.

Jacobs hinted at a potential summer move, emphasizing that Chelsea, known for audacious moves, might be the frontrunners.

Osimhen's new contract includes a €130m release clause.

“Osimhen’s primary concern is to take his time and to move most likely in the summer of 2024, and most likely to the Premier League. I don’t think it’s locked in that it’s Chelsea or any other club. I think if there is one club that is audacious and ambitious enough to try their luck in January with a view to a summer that would most likely be Chelsea,” Jacobs shared on The Done Deal Show.

Osimhen, with seven goals in Serie A this season, will be a key player to watch as he showcases his skills in the upcoming AFCON tournament with the Super Eagles.
