England forward, Lauren James has climbed up the trends on Twitter after she was shown a red card in the game against Nigeria.
The Lioness was shown a straight red after a VAR review for her stamp on Michelle Alozie.
This means the Chelsea star will be slammed with 3 match ban by FIFA like Nigerian forward, Deborah Abiodun who was sent off in the first game against Canada.
She became the first player to be red-carded at the tournament.
The game is still square between both teams. The winner will face Colombia who defeated Jamaica in the FIFA Women’s World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday 12 August, 2023.

That Lauren James red card summed up her frustration v #NGA. It’s not been her night and was taken out of the game. Heroine to villain.
