British heavyweight Tyson Fury has vowed to knock out Anthony Joshua when the pair meet in their long-awaited bout.
Fury and the British-Nigerian will finally lock horns at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Friday, December 11, in a fight streaming live on Netflix with the WBA world title at stake.
After watching Daniel Dubois stop Fabio Wardley in the second-round last Saturday, October 17, Fury vowed to replicate the same fate on Joshua.
“That was a very exciting heavyweight fight there between Dubois and Wardley. Fair play to both guys. Well done to Daniel for retaining his belt with a good knockout. That’s how you get them out of there, big Dan,” Fury said in a short video posted on his Instagram.
“That is exactly what is going to happen to AJ on December 11, sparked out.”
Fury will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in May and December 2024.
The Ukrainian, the former undisputed heavyweight champion, also beat Joshua twice, in September 2021 and August 2022.
