'Coachless' Super Eagles and Black Stars set to clash in a friendly

Another Jollof Derby is about to go down as the Super Eagles are set to face arch-rivals Black Stars in a friendly later this month.

The game will be held at the Stade Grande de Marrakech in Morocco on Friday, March 22.

Both teams are currently without a head coach after the recently concluded African Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire.

Despite guiding the team to the grand finale, Nigeria parted ways with Portuguese gaffer Jose Peseiro after his contract with the NFF ran out at the end of last month.

Ghana on the other hand sacked coach Chris Houghton after he failed to qualify the Black Stars from the group stages of the competition.

Ghana edged Nigeria via the away goal rule the last time the two sides met in the World Cup double-header qualifiers in March 2022.

The Super Eagles will also take on Mali after their game against the Black Stars at the same venue.

The two matches form part of the team's preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers South Africa and Benin Republic in June.
