Members of the House of Representatives have set up a committee of five persons to look into the issues relating to the payment of the doctors.
This is coming after a meeting between the House Health Services Committee led by its chairman, Rep. Tanko Sununu, officials of the FCTA & the leadership of the Nigerian Medical Association.
MyNigeria.com gathered that prior to this meeting, authorities of the Federal Capital Territory Administration published a circular mandating members of the FCTA chapter of the National Association of Resident Doctors to go back to work within 48 hours or consider themselves sacked.
However, members of the House of Representatives intervened via the combined meeting of the House Health Services Committee, NMA and officials of the FCTA to reach the latest recommendation.
After a meeting between the House Health Services Committee led by its chairman, Rep. Tanko Sununu, officials of the FCTA & the leadership of @nmanigeria on Friday, it was resolved that a Committee of five persons will look into the issues relating to the payment of the doctors.
