A sixty-two-year-old man, Fatai Opayemi is looking for N15 million for a kidney transplant after being diagnosed with a chronic kidney disease

The trader, who was born in the Ogun State was battling hypertension and high blood pressure, which eventually led to total damage of his kidneys.

According to a medical report signed by Dr A.A. Busari, Consultant Nephrologists/Physician, Lagos State Government General Hospital, Gbagada: “The above named first presented to this facility with complaints of leg swelling, hiccups, vomiting and poorly managed hypertension. After thorough clinical and biochemical investigations, he was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease secondary to hypertension. He has since been on maintenance hemodialysis and other care. He would eventually require a renal transplant for a better quality of life.”

His daughter, Campbell Omolade Adepelumi, told The Guardian that he has been battling high blood pressure for over 12 years with poorly managed underlying illness.

“He also has high blood sugar, which resulted in the damage of the kidney that was not discovered on time. So by the time we discovered the damages, he had got to the final stage. He has been on dialysis and drugs since last year to regulate him but nothing has changed. We are seeking help now because we do not have money again to carry out the transplant,” she added.

To help Fatai live well again, donations can be made through his account details, 0121921800 Wema Bank, account name; Fatai Opayemi Jimoh.
