  Citizenship of Nigeria allows any Nigerian to vote where ever they live and be voted for, however as this article insinuates indigeneship has become the albatross that has prevented this all over the country without exception. If being an indigene trumps citizenship, that is why the law is being introduced. The false narrative of the Welsh and Scot in the UK or indigenous populations in the US, does not hold water as Scot who lives in England can be voted for in the parliament similarly can a Welsh be voted for if they live in Scotland. Worse still immigrants(including Nigerians) have contested and won seats in these places.
