Nigerian billionaire businessman and Delta State lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has broken his silence to condemn the widespread circulation of malicious rumours regarding his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, and their marriage.

In an official press statement released online, Nwoko sternly warned bloggers, commentators, and social media users peddling fabricated health reports and false death announcements that they would face severe legal consequences.

The intervention follows months of public concern sparked by Regina Daniels’ 25th birthday appearance, where she courageously disclosed her ongoing battle with severe physical pain, swollen and weakened legs, and mobility challenges that have required her to use a wheelchair.

"Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover... I will not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina, particularly fabricated reports about her death, health or personal circumstances," Nwoko stated.

The senator revealed that his legal and digital monitoring teams are actively identifying individuals responsible for generating and sharing malicious content online, emphasizing that a strict legal threshold has been crossed. He urged the public to offer compassion and privacy rather than sensationalism as the actress focuses on her health.
