Popular Ghanaian-Nigerian artiste and business mogul Mr Eazi has revealed that financial obligations, including paying rent for his foreign residence, motivated his recent music release.

The singer, born Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, made the disclosure during a live streaming session with popular content creator Okiki, where he spoke candidly about his lifestyle, international living, and music releases.

Addressing viewers on the stream, the musician explained that despite his established status in the music and tech industries, maintaining properties abroad requires continuous cash flow.

"I have to pay my rent. That is why I dropped my recent song. I’m looking for money to pay my rent. Not in Lagos. The other place I live. I pay rent," Mr Eazi said.

The artiste went on to describe the exclusive neighborhood where his international home is located, pointing out that he resides alongside world-class athletes and high-profile celebrities..

"I live around Formula 1 drivers, tennis players and even footballers. I could just decide to go downstairs and cross paths with Pogba," he added.

Mr Eazi, who is widely known for pioneering the Banku Music sound and founding the music distribution entity empawa Africa, has consistently balanced his musical releases with extensive business ventures across Africa and Europe.
