Popular Afrobeats singer Ruger has humorously pushed back against fellow musician Odumodublvck after the rapper declared that any man unwilling to die for his partner is a fool.
The debate began after Odumodublvck made headlines during an appearance on the In Motion Podcast, citing his Christian faith as the reason for his belief in self-sacrifice within relationships.
Drawing parallels to biblical teachings, the Blood On The Dance Floor rapper argued that men are required to love their partners unconditionally.
"Any man who can't die for his woman is foolish," Odumodublvck stated during the podcast.
"I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loves the Church. And what did Christ do for the Church? He died for the Church," he added.
Reacting to the clip on X, Ruger wasted no time dismissing the sentiment, signaling that he has no intention of making the ultimate sacrifice for love.
"OD me I no fit die for woman oooo," Ruger wrote alongside laughing emojis, directly addressing Odumodublvck.
