Veteran Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has generated social media chatter after revealing her non-negotiable requirements for any man seeking to marry her daughter.

Appearing alongside her second daughter, Angelica Aboderin, in a Q&A session with Pulse Nigeria, the movie star outlined three fundamental conditions she refuses to compromise on for a prospective son-in-law.

Top on Damasus' list was absolute devotion and respect.

"He has to fully respect you. Forgive me, but I will say he has to be obsessed with you: very much so," Damasus said.

The actress emphasized financial stability as her second core condition, making it clear that a suitor must be capable of providing comfortable support.

"Secondly, he has to have more than enough to take care of not just himself, but of you too," she noted.

Damasus highlighted self-discipline as her third essential requirement, arguing that spiritual claims mean little without personal restraint.

"He has to be very disciplined because it's easy to say, 'I want him to fear God,' but without discipline of mind, self, body, everything go scatter," she explained.

The actress jokingly added that physical attractiveness was an automatic bonus expectation, pointing out with a laugh that her daughter deserves nothing less.

Stella Damasus shares two daughters, Isabel and Angelica, with her late first husband, Jaiye Aboderin, who passed away in 2004. Angelica recently followed in her mother's footsteps, making her acting debut in late 2025 in a project directed by Damasus.
