Highlife singer Flavour N'abania has shared a candid personal revelation regarding his past struggles with a two-year addiction, revealing how the habit escalated before he eventually overcame it.

Speaking during a recent TikTok live session with friends, the award-winning musician disclosed that the issue began shortly after he lost his virginity and lost contact with his partner.

Facing a lack of intimacy, he turned to self-gratification, which quickly spiraled after a friend introduced him to Mapouka dance videos from Congo.

"The habit became so intense that I once resorted to using liquid soap," the singer admitted, noting that the two-year battle left him feeling ashamed and withdrew him from social interactions.

In his attempt to overcome the addiction, Flavour sought spiritual guidance through his mother's pastor, who prescribed a 21-day period of fasting and prayer. However, the singer revealed that the addiction returned shortly after completing the spiritual exercise.

The singer explained that his breakthrough eventually came after confiding in a fellow bassist he worked with at the time. The bandmate suggested that the underlying issue was a lack of regular intimacy, subsequently taking Flavour to a brothel and paying for his session.

Flavour noted that he began allocating a portion of his earnings from playing musical instruments to pay for weekly visits to brothels. A decision he claims ultimately helped him break the cycle and overcome the addiction for good.
