Nigerian musician Mr Real has sparked reactions online after angrily calling out celebrities for remaining silent amid the recent killings in Jos and the country’s worsening economic hardship.
In a viral video rant, the singer questioned why celebrities with millions of followers have refused to speak up on national issues despite their influence.
“Nigeria celebrities what’s going on? You people have millions of followers but yet keep silent to what’s happening in the country,” he said in the clip.
Mr Real expressed frustration over the recent terrorist attack in Jos, rising insecurity, kidnappings, and the increasing cost of living affecting ordinary Nigerians, accusing public figures of prioritizing entertainment releases over pressing national concerns.
In one of the most striking parts of the video, he warned celebrities against dropping new projects while ignoring the crisis.
He said, “God will punish you if you drop any song or movie.”
The video comes amid growing public anger over the Jos killings and the broader security challenges facing the country.
