Social media activist Martins Vincent otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan has stirred fresh political conversations online after strongly criticising Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over its performance in office. VDM: APC have no right whatsoever to campaign in this country again. They already have their first four years from 2023 to 2027 for the people to beg them to run - not for them to come back and campaign. Their first four years would've made Nigerians kneel down and beg them not… pic.twitter.com/o8i0LjM0DK
In a viral video currently making the rounds on X, the outspoken commentator argued that the party has no moral grounds to begin campaigning for the 2027 general elections.
According to him, a government that has performed well in its first term should naturally earn the people’s trust and support without needing to return with fresh campaign promises.
“APC have no right whatsoever to campaign in this country again. They already have their first four years from 2023 to 2027 for the people to beg them to run, not for them to come back and campaign.”
VeryDarkMan went on to say that the administration’s first term should have been impactful enough to make Nigerians plead for its continuation, drawing a comparison with the widely discussed performance of Abia State Governor Alex Otti.
“Their first four years would’ve made Nigerians kneel down and beg them not to go, just like Alex Otti of Abia State.”
