A Lagos-based woman has sparked widespread public concern after sharing an emotional video recounting an alleged sexual assault in her apartment.
The incident, said to have occurred on February 15, 2026, gained national attention after it was reposted by social media users across all platforms, especially X.
In the circulating clips, the woman, who is identified as Mirab, following her social media handle, alleged that an intruder broke into her residence while she was alone and assaulted her.
Screenshots accompanying the videos purportedly show direct messages from a strange account identified as @priston186, in which the sender allegedly confessed to the act and made taunting remarks about evading justice due to family influence and wealth.
The messages have not yet been independently verified by authorities but many social media users expressed alarm at the alleged suspect’s apparent confidence in avoiding consequences, describing it as reflective of broader concerns about accountability in sexual violence cases.
