A Nigerian woman identified as Mirab has alleged that she was raped by a man who broke into her apartment in mid-February 2026, an incident that later led to a suicide attempt.

The case gained attention after videos were shared by popular social media accounts like Instablog9ja, and other X users showed her tearfully recounting the assault and its aftermath.

In the clip, she revealed she drank Sniper pesticide the following day, but was rushed to the hospital by friends.

“I drank Snipper yesterday… I felt like I couldn’t take it anymore. My chest is bvrning, I am so tired, so broken… my friend had to rush me to the hospital to save me. I’m not mentally strong from everything that’s going on,” she said.

According to a report by the Foundation for Investigative Journalism, the alleged attacker later sent messages boasting that his father’s wealth would shield him from consequences.

Authorities have yet to issue detailed updates as calls for justice and stronger survivor protection continue.
