Veteran Nollywood actor Charles Awurum has slammed popular American streamer IShowSpeed over his recent visit to Nigeria.

In a viral video circulating online, Awurum accused the internet personality of disrespecting the country and portraying Lagos in a negative manner. He also alleged that IShowSpeed showed disrespect to Nigerian content creator Peller during his time in Nigeria.

Visibly angered, the actor questioned the streamer’s relevance and wealth, dismissing him as insignificant. “Who do you think you are? You’re a nobody. How much do you even have? I can pay your net worth,” Awurum said.

Awurum further cautioned IShowSpeed to be mindful of his words and actions, stressing that Nigeria’s image should not be undermined for content creation or clout. He described such behaviour as unacceptable and damaging, particularly coming from a foreign influencer with a massive global following.

“This is a warning to you,” the veteran actor added, insisting that Nigeria and its people deserve respect.
