Social media platforms are currently ablaze following a subtle yet powerful move by Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, who has finally addressed the ongoing feud with Seun Kuti—without uttering (or typing) a single word.
The drama, which has dominated Nigerian online spaces for over a week, escalated when Seun Kuti launched repeated criticisms of Wizkid's fanbase, known as Wizkid FC.
In viral Instagram Live sessions starting around January 10, 2026, Seun accused the fans of being "the most ignorant fan base in the world," exhibiting toxic behavior, and disrespectfully comparing Wizkid to his late father, legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
He insisted such comparisons diminish Fela's unparalleled legacy in activism, music, and cultural revolution, while also taking swipes at Wizkid's achievements and fan loyalty.
Seun's rants included claims that Wizkid's music doesn't truly satisfy listeners spiritually, accusations tied to past events like EndSARS, and even a back-and-forth over the "Big Bird" nickname (which Seun claims as his own long-standing moniker).
The provocations appeared aimed at drawing a direct response from Wizkid himself, with Seun once suggesting the Starboy wouldn't dare clap back.
However, Wizkid broke his silence in classic understated style: he reposted a viral Yoruba-language video on his Instagram story.
The clip features a woman hilariously and mercilessly roasting Seun Kuti, referencing the "omo baba oni pata gigan" (roughly "child of the man with big shorts") meme tied to Fela's iconic style, while dragging Seun for his online tirades and perceived hypocrisy.
Wizkid shared it without any caption, emoji, or additional comment—letting the video's savage energy do all the talking.
The internet exploded instantly. Wizkid FC celebrated the move as a masterclass in "quiet quitting" the beef, flooding timelines with laughing emojis, eagle symbols, and phrases like "Wizkid replied without a single word"
Many pointed out the poetic justice: after days of Seun calling out the fanbase unprovoked, Wizkid endorsed a fan-made response that mirrored the same energy back at him.
