Veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has finally spoken out after his son, Sean Michael Ike, used his image in a controversial bedroom skit that referenced popular relationship therapist, Jaruma.

The video, which has been making rounds on social media, shows a woman dressed in blue role-playing as Jaruma while a man lies shirtless on a bed, creating what many viewers described as a suggestive and inappropriate scene. What triggered outrage was the inclusion of Emeka Ike’s photo in the clip, with the caption implying he was linked to the content.

Reacting strongly on Instagram, the actor expressed deep displeasure, stating that he never gave permission for his image to be used and completely dissociates himself from the skit and its message. He accused his son of dragging his name into what he described as “disgusting” content, adding that he has worked hard to protect his reputation over the years.

Emeka Ike revealed that he had invested heavily in his son’s education and career, hoping he would become a positive influence in the entertainment industry. According to him, it was painful to see his efforts repaid with actions that tarnish his image.

He further claimed that he once helped his son gain admission into the university and encouraged him to pursue acting, hoping he would succeed legitimately. However, he now feels betrayed by what he described as Sean’s reckless behaviour online.

The actor also addressed claims that he was somehow involved with Jaruma’s brand, insisting he has no affiliation with her business or content. He demanded the immediate removal of his image from the video and warned against using his name for clout.

Emeka Ike concluded his statement by praying for his son to regain wisdom and direction, noting that he would not allow anyone – including his own child – to destroy his legacy.

The post has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting the veteran actor’s stance while others criticized the public family dispute.
