Popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has fired back at a TVC host following her remarks about his criticism of Chef Hilda Baci after her recent Guinness World Record attempt.

VDM, in a post shared after Baci’s record-breaking attempt, expressed disappointment at the Nigerians who rallied around to support her. While some Nigerians agreed with his concerns, others strongly disagreed.

The TVC host criticized VDM on air, arguing that instead of condemning Baci, he should have simply supported her. In an attempt to mock VDM, she said, “VDM, I didn’t know women only cooked rice. But here I am, presenting a segment.”

In a swift and fiery response on his social media page, VDM said: “You see this girl on TVC? If you like, advertise yourself, I can’t sleep with you. You are seeking attention, maybe you want me to go to your page and look at you. No, I can’t sleep with you, you are not my type.”

VDM further defended his stance, insisting that he has no personal vendetta against Hilda Baci: “They are making it look like VDM is some evil man against Hilda Baci. I applauded her. But if I wanted to criticize Hilda Baci, I would have, because I have a lot to say. I only chose not to because she doesn’t defraud people.”

Chef Hilda Baci recently set a new Guinness World Record for the largest-ever serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. The dish weighed an astonishing 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds, 9 ounces), prepared alongside Gino Foods at Victoria Island in Lagos.

Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement after officials verified the final weight on site, noting that the massive serving was cooked and presented under strict supervision to ensure accuracy.
