Popular Nigerian dancer, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, has opened up about her struggles in love, revealing that many men shy away from pursuing her romantically simply because she is a single mother.

The 45-year-old dance icon, speaking on a recent episode of the Honest Bunch podcast, shared a heartbreaking moment when a potential suitor bluntly told her he couldn't date her simply because she is a single mother of two.

"I have heard somebody tell me that because I'm a single mother, he can't even think about dating me. I have two children." She revealed.

She questioned the narrative that portrays divorced women, especially those who have invested in self-growth and gained deeper wisdom, as less desirable partners.

"What makes you think that a woman who has been divorced is not even a better candidate if she has worked on herself?" Kaffy asked.

Kaffy further wondered what assurance exists that two single individuals, entering marriage for the first time without children, are guaranteed a perfect union.

"What is the guarantee that the two single people today are not both going to be divorced people tomorrow?" She added.

Her take on the issue of single mothers not finding love has sparked widespread reactions from Netizens.
