Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has taken to social media to share an important message about mental wellness, encouraging his followers to be intentional about what they consume online.

In a heartfelt post, the music star advised fans to protect their peace by curating their social media experience. He urged them to unfollow accounts that drain their energy and mute conversations that no longer contribute positively to their lives.

“Unfollow accounts that drain you, mute conversations that don’t serve you, and replace them with people, books, and music that lift you up,” he wrote.

Adekunle Gold also emphasized the importance of surrounding oneself with positivity be it through inspiring people, uplifting books, or feel-good music to help nurture a healthier mindset.

His advice has since resonated with many fans, sparking conversations about digital boundaries and the need for self-care in the age of social media.

In other news, Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has addressed a social media troll who questioned her about an alleged relationship with fellow actor and content creator, Cute Abiola.

The drama began when a follower took to the comment section of one of her posts to bring up the long-standing rumour, bluntly asking:
“But wait o, you and Cute Abiola been dey knack that year Abi? New week na question o.”

In her response, Biodun didn’t hold back. She said she didn’t blame the individual making the comment but rather the blogger responsible for spreading the false story in the first place.

The actress called on the “God of justice” to expose and disgrace the blogger behind the fabricated claims. She emphasized that while it may be possible to deceive the public, no one can deceive God.

She wrote, “As for you @eazeekodeworldwid I don’t blame you. I blame the Olori buruku liar blogger who is hell bent on dragging my name through the mud with lies. May the God of justice expose and disgrace him or her publicly.

To that stup*d lie lie blog: You can deceive the world, but you can’t deceive God. Every false word you’ve typed to tarnish every single innocent soul will return to you in double measure.

No matter how long you hide, the hand of God will unmask you. Whoever is behind that blog may disgrace you with the truth without mercy in Jesus’ name. You can’t keep lying to innocent people and expect peace. God will expose you. AMEN”.

Her strong response has drawn support from fans, who praised her for standing her ground and calling out falsehoods.
