Nigerian internet personality Olalekan Ponle, also known as Woodberry, who is a companion of Ramon Olorunwa Abbas better known as Hushpuppi has voiced concerns regarding Nyesom Wike's intentions for beggars in Abuja.

Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, declared on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, that officials will begin capturing beggars on Monday, October 28.

Nyesom Wike made this assertion at the opening of a new access road project in the Katampe District of Abuja.

Reacting to this, Woodberry retorted that there are more beggars on social media sites like Snapchat and WhatsApp than there are on the streets.

He wrote, “They are plenty on WhatsApp and Snapchat, sir.”

Many people concurred with Woodberry stating that Nyesom Wike should help those on social media first because there are more beggars there.
