Seun Kuti breaks silence after regaining freedom from police custody

Afrobeat star Seun Kuti had a message for his fans, followers, and loved ones following his release from the grip of the police.

The music star who was detained at the State Criminal, Investigations and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba, Lagos on the orders of a Yaba Chief Magistrate Court for assaulting a police officer was finally released on Tuesday, May 23.

Taking to his social media after his release, Seun Kuti thanked his wife and all his friends and loved ones for standing with him during his difficult times.

“I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends showed up! Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife @chefyeidekuti”, the Singer wrote on his Instastory.
