'Advise yourself first mumu' - Attacks as Yul encourages Funke over her election defeat

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has come under heavy criticism after he shared an open letter to colleague actress Funke Akindele over her loss in the just concluded guber elections.

The actor in his letter to Funke praised her for her courageous outing in the race.

Yul urged Funke to put her deleted campaign pictures back on her profile since they would serve as a reminder of her triumph and battle wounds.

The presence of Funke's name on the ballot, in his opinion, is something that many of those who ridiculed her have aspired to.

Social media users hailed him for encouraging Funke who in their opinion needed it.

Yet, some people criticized the father of five for making the letter public when he could have sent it privately to Funke, adding that he never campaigned for her but had the guts to encourage her after her loss.

Others also mocked him for admiring Funke's strength while ignoring that of his first wife May Edochie.
