Read Davido's appreciation post to fans after Ifeanyi's death

Nigerian musician David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has expressed his gratitude to his fans, including his family and friends who helped him through his difficult times.

The musician expressed his appreciation for the love, gifts, and words of support he received while he was away in a post he shared on his Twitter page.

Davido emphasized that people should look toward the future because what formerly seemed to be permanent is now new.

Ifeanyi, the son of the late singer allegedly drowned in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos on 31st October 2023.

The sad news has seen Davido going off social media and pausing his music career. However, Davido made a rare return to social media after he was been billed to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Qatar world cup in Doha.

He wrote: "All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all. Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for new."
