The deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Funke Akindele has extended gratitude to her industry colleague Ruth Kadiri-Ezerika for openly supporting her.

This comes after Ruth in a post on her Instagram page said Funke is her candidate in the upcoming governorship election.

“It’s election season! And @funkejenifaakindele is my candidate. The reasons being; You’re hardworking. You’re smart. You’re tough. You’re emotional. Above all you’re disciplined.

“You dare to tread where others won’t fly. You’re a risk taker. I know you’re a filmmaker. I trust you will do a good job. You have my vote,” Ruth wrote.

In the comment section, Funke expressed gratitude to her colleague for the support with the words, “Thank you Ruth.”
