Simi Simi

Nigerian singer, songwriter Simi is concerned with the conduct of portions of Nigeria's February 25 general elections.

In a tweet posted hours after voting officially closed, she observed among others, issues of corruption and chaos in the process.

"How can you even support anything that is this blatantly corrupt? Didn't you see the chaos yesterday. The thugs? The disenfranchisement? Regardless of who you support, shouldn't all of us be fighting for justice and a fair election. What is your priority? Can't you read the room?" he tweet read.

Since the close of polls, results continue to trickle in with the major candidates winning in their strongholds.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) candidate is, however, pulling an upset in Lagos, where he is leading the ruling All Progressives Congress' Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Atiku Abubakar on the other hand has won in Gombe and coasting to victory in his home state of Adamawa. He has also been projected to win in Buhari's home state of Katsina.

Tinubu has won Ekiti, the only state officially verified by the elections body and Ondo, also located in the south-west.
