Mr Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) has lost the seat for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives to Mr Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party.

Attah won with 24,075 votes, beating the music star who was contesting on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to victory.

Banky W had 18,666 votes.

Reacting to the results, thousands of social media users sympathised with Banky W for not winning the election.

They however blamed him for his loss as they stated that if he had contested on the ticket of the Labour Party, he would have won.

Banky W already decamped to PDP before Peter Obi decamped to LP. They were both at PDP at the same time. Was he suppose to decamp again.

If PDP had given Obi the ticket, wouldn’t he still be in PDP.

Again, I'm NOT a fan of the vote for LP (or any party) from top to bottom.

It's self-defeating. We will end up shortchanging really excellent candidates.

I was begging banky w to contest under labour party, e no free, he stayed in his PDP with structure.
He didn't even for one day campaign for obi, so I don't pity him.
He should continue making movies cos I like him as an actor.
