Popular Social media critic and activist, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has called out Nigerian billionaire and business mogul Aliko Dangote, accusing him of neglecting the rising cases of deadly accidents involving his company's trucks.
In a video shared online, the outspoken critic alleged that one of Dangote's trucks was responsible for a tragic incident that claimed the lives of a family in their home.
He expressed outrage that despite repeated public outcries and loss of lives, no meaningful action has been taken to address the recklessness of Dangote’s drivers.
According to VeryDarkMan, the Dangote brand has become “stained with blood,” as its trucks no longer just cause fatalities on the road but now crash into homes, killing innocent people.
He lamented that both the government and the public appear to have accepted these tragedies as normal, with no accountability in sight.
The activist further claimed that while Dangote boasts about paying his drivers well, several of them have confided that they are poorly treated and underpaid.
He alleged that the company’s usual response to accidents is limited to apologies and letters, without implementing any real preventive measures.
Continuing his criticism, VeryDarkMan accused Dangote of failing to make any significant developmental impact in his home state, despite his immense wealth.
He stated that Dangote’s trucks worsen Nigeria’s bad roads by carrying overloaded cargo and warned that citizens, especially in Edo State, would soon begin to take action if the situation persists.
He also urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene, insisting that Dangote’s operations must be held accountable for the continuous damage and loss of lives.
