'You've done Africa and the world proud' - Davido shows Rema love as singer suspends December shows over health concerns

Afrobeat star David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has sent a message of support to his colleague Divine Ikubor aka Rema after the latter cancelled his Christmas shows.

Rema on Wednesday, November 29 announced the suspension of all his December shows over health concerns.

He expressed the need to pay close attention to his health after years of touring around the globe.

The 'Calm down' crooner was scheduled to tour Lagos, Abuja, and Benin this Christmas but it appears that won't be happening.

In a post on his IG story, Rema wrote “It breaks my heart to say that I won’t be performing anywhere this December. Been years of touring, I’ve ignored my health and I need time to recuperate. 2024, we go again, love.”

Following the development, Davido took to his IG story to show the young singer his love and support.

He wrote "The job is not easy physically and mentally, you've done Africa and the world proud beyond expectations. Go get some rest King and come back."
