Barbadian singer and billionaire Rihanna is of the view that Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has what it takes to rule the music industry on both the male and female fronts.
The Barbadian singer noted that Ayra's voice is deep and appealing to both men and women.
According to Rihanna, with Ayra Starr's distinctive voice, she would undoubtedly rule the international music scene.
Recall that in a recent interview with Billboard, Ayra Starr revealed the conversation she had with Rihanna when they first met at the Authentic Woman event in the UK.
Ayra Starr said: ” We [Rihanna and I] got to hang out after the event. Just spending time with my idol, the person who inspired me to do all of this, was the most amazing thing. She gave me so many pointers and advice.
“I love my voice, but I know I have a very deep voice like, ‘Is that a man?! Is that a boy?!’ Rihanna was like, ‘You have the type of voice that can take over the males and take over the girls. You are here to take over both sides of the industry.’
"And I was like, ‘You think so?’ She’s like, ‘Yes! Yes!’ I was like, ‘Thank you so much!’ She was like, ‘That’s your superpower.’ I was like, ‘I never thought of it like that. Thank you.’ She just put everything into perspective for me."
Ayra Starr's dream of collaborating with her idol Rihanna may soon become reality as the Barbadian singer has expressed interest in working with the Mavin Record signee.
Rihanna mentioned that her cousin had introduced her to Ayra Starr's music during a conversation at her most recent Fenty event, expressing respect for the budding Nigerian musician.
Ayra Starr responded to Rihanna's question regarding a possible partnership with Tems by adding, "That's my sister."
