Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has publicly praised her senior colleague and filmmaker Funke Akindele, calling her “unstoppable” and “undefeated” in a message shared on Instagram.

Nkechi shared a video on Sunday of herself watching Aiyetoro Town, Akindele’s latest release on YouTube, and lauded the filmmaker’s enduring influence in Nollywood.

“#funkejenifaakindele, you remain a force, unstoppable, undefeated, Numero Uno. You did this so many years ago; you are doing it again. I bless GOD in your life, maami.

“Thank you for believing in me even though I have been distant… I do not take your love for granted; you are indeed a star maker. Always know that I love you beyond words,” she wrote.

Her post comes months after she made a public apology in March, admitting that past controversies and behaviour had negatively affected her reputation and career.

She revealed that she lost many deals because of her controversial lifestyle in the past, and now wants to live in peace.

In a follow-up post after her apology, she also gave a special shout-out to some special people and brands who she said have stuck with her over the years.
