Popular skitmaker Ziczaloma recently shared his perspective on achieving financial independence, emphasizing the importance of setting firm financial boundaries to escape poverty.

In a brief online clip discussing the path to financial freedom, he stated, “If you want to rise above poverty, you must be financially ruthless—even with your own family.”

He clarified that this approach isn’t about being cruel but is a strategy to break free from the cycle of poverty. Reflecting on his own journey, he mentioned that, despite his desire for financial stability from a young age, many of his business ventures failed.

“I did a lot of business while growing up but most of them failed because of family,” he stated.

Ziczaloma further stressed that “African family and even your own family are very entitled to your wealth. Even when the purpose of working is to save money and build a better future”.

Reinforcing his point, he stated; “It is very very okay to be financially heartless even to your friends and family so that you can even save up and break that circle. They will hate you for it but trust me it is for your own good.”
