'Wizkid and I were the first young artistes to blow up' - Davido

Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke who is popularly known as Davido has disclosed that he and Wizkid were the first young artiste to make it make it in the Nigerian music industry.

The singer during an interview stated that he believes the future of Afrobeats is in good hands.

Davido stated that this is because the likes of Burna Boy, Rema, Mayorkun, Asake, Fireboy, are making the industry proud and putting the country's name on the world map.

"Wizkid and I were the first young artistes to blow up and it feels good seeing new cats like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun and Asake kllling it now.

"I think the future of Afrobeats is in good hands."
