A supporter of activist Omoyele Sowore, identified as Rock Yusuf, has sparked online reactions after making controversial remarks about social media critic VeryDarkMan amid his reported 10-day break from social media.
Rock Yusuf referenced the recent Delta State police killing case and claimed the online personality would have taken a different stance if he had been active online.
“If VeryDarkMan was online, he would have turned this case around and blamed Harrison Gwamnishu and the victim killed in Delta State, just because Harrison broke the news.”
He further alleged that VeryDarkMan would have defended the police officer accused in the matter.
“He would then go on to cover up for Nuhu Usman (the police officer).”
Yusuf also expressed relief over the influencer’s absence from social media during the controversy.
“Thank God he was offline.”
Continuing his criticism, he claimed the activist may be seeking a dramatic return online.
“As I speak, he is looking for a controversy that will bring him back.”
The statement has since generated mixed reactions online, especially among supporters and critics of VeryDarkMan, who remains one of Nigeria’s most talked-about online personalities.
