Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has filed a petition against Federal House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh.

This action was taken after a video went viral showing an Abia legislator threatening to physically harm a cab driver and imprison him in his generator house.

During the altercation, the representative also slapped the driver and made threats against him.

VeryDarkMan's petition accuses the lawmaker of serious offenses, including attempted murder, assault, misuse of authority, and death threats.

The petition was signed by Deji Adeyanju, an activist and attorney representing VeryDarkMan.

In the video that has now gone viral, the federal politician is seen physically assaulting Mr. Stephen Abuwatseya, a Bolt driver.

Reports indicate that the driver shared his harrowing experience with the representative member in an interview with VeryDarkMan on Monday, October 28, 2024.
